1. Log in to the Panel
Go to http://yourdomain.com:2222 in your browser.
Log in to the DirectAdmin control panel with your username and password.
2. Go to the Spam Filter Section
Click on the Email Management tab in the left menu.
SpamAssassin Setup or Spam Filter from the opened menu.
3. Enable the Spam Filter
Activate SpamAssassin.
Here you can set the spam score threshold (e.g., 5.0). Lower values apply more aggressive filtering.
Unwanted emails will be marked or d according to this score.
4. Define Filter Rules
You can add specific email addresses or domains to the block list.
Example: *@spamdomain.com → Blocks all emails from this domain.
If desired, you can add trusted addresses to the whitelist.
5. Advanced Settings
Additional modules such as Rspamd or EasySpamFighter can be installed for stronger filtering.
These systems use regex, statistical analysis, and blacklist (RBL) checks to block spam more effectively.
Important Notes
- Setting a very low spam score may cause normal emails to be mistakenly marked as spam.
- Anonymous senders and emails with suspicious attachments must be filtered.
- Review and filters regularly; otherwise, new spam methods may bypass them.
