DNS checks explained

This audit only queries DNS. Passing SPF/DKIM/DMARC/PTR improves the chance of clean sending when combined with correct server config. It is not a spam-score product.

• MX records

  Mail exchangers that receive inbound mail for the domain.

• SPF (TXT)

  TXT policy listing authorized senders (v=spf1).

• DMARC

  Policy at _dmarc.domain (v=DMARC1) for alignment and reporting.

• DKIM (default/mail/s1)

  Looks for selectors default, mail and s1; other selectors may still exist.

• PTR / reverse DNS

  Reverse DNS for mail IP plus A/AAAA forward match.

• geofeed: TXT

  Optional geofeed: TXT; shown as not published when absent.

FAQ

Will this fix spam folder placement?

No guarantee. Correct DNS is necessary but not sufficient for inbox placement.

Can I audit an IP only?

Yes. Enter a public IPv4/IPv6 to check PTR and forward consistency.

Why is DKIM marked missing?

We only probe default/mail/s1. Your provider may use another selector name.
